Stephen is a writer and social media strategist on a mission to ignite positive change. Guided by a belief in the transformative power of communication, he creates engaging, socially-conscious content with an eye on evolving cultural trends.
Over the past 15 years, Stephen has worked in a range of fields including event production, nonprofit development, and community organizing. He has broad experience in print and online media as a journalist, blogger, and editor for publications such as RealitySandwich.com, Acres USA, and Southeast Performer Magazine.
Raised in the digital era, Stephen is tuned in to the vast potential of social networks to connect people with powerful ideas. As Development Associate for the seed conservation non-profit Native Seeds/SEARCH, he helped grow their Facebook page to reach over 40,000 likes and managed an online communications strategy when images of their Glass Gem corn variety sparked a viral phenomenon worldwide.
Stephen received a B.A. in English with a concentration in British and American cultures and summa cum laude distinction from Georgia State University. Originally from Atlanta, he heard the westward call and resides today in the funky environs of Tucson, Arizona. When he’s not glued to his laptop, you might find him DJing a dance party, crooning at karaoke bars, or soaking in a desert swimming hole.
