State of New Jersey, Manufacture NJ: “Ready For A Revolution” Brand
WestWordVision’s brand and website for New Jersey’s Advanced Manufacturing talent network, embodied in “Ready For A Revolution,” was honest and straightforward. The message came from the voice of private sector leaders who helped construct the self-reference platform: “New Jersey is in the midst of a revolution in manufacturing, but we can’t start the revolution without young people. We’re looking for nimbler, gutsier, geekier collaborators to help us rewire our industries, our companies, our products and our brands.”
State of New Jersey, Manufacture NJ: “Making Things Matters” Video Narrative
WestWordVision’s narrative for New Jersey’s advanced manufacturing talent network explains the gap between the number of available jobs in advanced manufacturing and the number of workers who are qualified and interested in those advanced manufacturing careers. To address this skills gap in U.S. manufacturing production, a matter of national security and economic competitiveness, we collaborated with ManufactureNJ to develop a plan that enlisted statewide stakeholders in strategic action and key message development. New Jersey’s advanced manufacturing talent network is changing this situation by attracting talent to these valuable and well-paying trades.
The narrative was rolled out via two videos. The first video was developed to advance New Jersey energy manufacture production to leaders in education, industry and government. It underscores why U.S. manufacture production is critical and how New Jersey is already advancing manufacturing in the Energy Sector. Watch the video.
The second video was created to educate middle and high school students about careers in manufacturing. The New Jersey Department of Labor is using our video to attract young people into manufacturing careers. Watch the video.
Inaugural ManufactureNJ Week Shines the Light on Manufacturers and Careers: “We’re Making It Here.”
The first-ever New Jersey Manufacturing Week included a variety of scheduled activities throughout the state for manufacturers, students, educators, policy makers and the media. Co-sponsored by New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program, Inc. (NJMEP), a not-for-profit organization, and the New Jersey Advanced Manufacturing Talent Network (MNJ), WestWordVision produced branding and managed PR for this inaugural state-wide event in 2012.
